Accenture and Google Cloud have launched a new business group aimed at helping enterprises deploy and scale Google’s Gemini Enterprise AI platform. The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group will combine Accenture’s Gemini Enterprise-certified professionals with forward-deployed engineers (FDEs), Google Cloud engineering talent and industry specialists. The companies plan to build a 1,000-person FDE workforce to support large-scale enterprise AI deployments.

The new group will work across the Gemini Enterprise portfolio, with a focus on implementation, industry-specific applications, enterprise deployments and user adoption.

What is the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group?

The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group is a joint initiative from Accenture and Google Cloud designed to help businesses move from AI experimentation to wider enterprise deployment. The group will provide implementation frameworks, technical expertise and industry-focused solutions to help companies integrate Gemini Enterprise into their operations.

Accenture Chair and CEO Julie Sweet said the initiative brings together talent, AI and data capabilities, along with industry expertise, to help clients move faster and create value at scale.

Accenture plans 1,000-person FDE workforce

The initiative builds on Accenture’s existing base of nearly 50,000 Google Cloud-skilled professionals. As part of the new business group, Accenture will expand training and certification programmes for Gemini Enterprise. It will also create a 1,000-person workforce of forward-deployed engineers who will work closely with enterprise customers on AI deployments.

FDEs are expected to play a hands-on role in helping businesses implement and scale AI systems, particularly as organisations move beyond pilots and begin deploying AI across larger parts of their operations.

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said deploying agentic AI has become a priority for enterprises and that the new group will expand the expertise and resources available to help customers generate business value from the technology.

Four key areas of focus

The Accenture-Google Cloud group will focus on four main areas:

  • Accelerating Gemini Enterprise adoption: Developing implementation frameworks and accelerators to help organisations deploy the platform.
  • Industry-specific solutions: Creating AI solutions tailored to the requirements of different industries.
  • Enterprise-scale deployment: Helping companies move from AI pilots and experiments to production-level deployments.
  • User adoption: Supporting employees as they begin using Gemini Enterprise and its AI capabilities across business functions.

Builds on existing Accenture and Google Cloud partnership

The new business group expands on the companies’ existing collaboration in generative and agentic AI. Accenture and Google Cloud have previously worked together through their Generative and Agentic AI Centre of Excellence and the Gemini Enterprise Acceleration Programme.

With the new business group, the companies are looking to deepen that partnership by combining cloud engineering capabilities with Accenture’s enterprise consulting and industry expertise. The 1,000-person FDE workforce will be a key part of this effort, providing businesses with dedicated technical support as they scale their use of Gemini Enterprise.
