Amazon, the US-based technology giant, introduces AI-powered audio summaries for select products in the US to transform the user’s buying experience and also meaningfully introduce AI into its larger role of being an e-commerce company. This feature offers summaries to the users about products based on an AI-driven analysis of product details, customer reviews, and other related information from the internet.

It can be accessed through the “hear the highlight” button in the Amazon shopping app. The company has also integrated features like Rufus—its generative AI-powered shopping assistant that addresses a wide range of customer queries—and Shopping Guides, which offer tailored product recommendations and decision-making support, directly into its website. As AI expands its reach, it will be remarkable to witness the breadth it will cover.
