Google comes up with an AI mode to transform users’ shopping experience, offering inspiring visuals, smart guidance, and reliable product data. These collectively offer the users two most important avenues. The first is virtual try-on, wherein the user can check the way a particular dress or piece of cloth would look on their body, while the second is an agentic checkout, which will help users buy any product with just one click.

With these transformations, Google opts to disrupt the e-commerce industry to a level of making fundamental changes to the system, enabling buyers as well as retailers to experience a wholesome new experience of buying and selling digitally. This ushers in a more interactive and engaging model ideal for shopping for clothes online, as it would answer the critical questions regarding appearance, sizes, etc.

Intelligent Filtering

Google's new AI-powered shopping experience seamlessly integrates Gemini’s advanced capabilities with Google’s robust Shopping Graph to guide users from inspiration to informed decision-making. The Shopping Graph now encompasses over 50 billion product listings—ranging from global retail giants to local independent stores—complete with real-time data on pricing, reviews, availability, and color options.

It will help you get exactly what you want with all the prerequisites like reviews, listings, and all, empowering your buying experience through intelligent decision-making.

Agentic Checkout

Google's new agentic checkout experience simplifies the entire process. It helps users buy confidently at a price that aligns with their budget. On selecting "Track Price" and providing necessary information like size and color, once a price drop is detected, users will receive a notification. Further, users can confirm the details and tap “Buy for Me.” Google will then securely complete the transaction on their behalf using Google Pay, seamlessly adding the item to the cart and checking out directly on the merchant’s site.

This enables an all-new buying experience for the users, which holds immense value as this would make price tracking and subsequent decision-making seamless and quick.

Virtual Trying Room

Google’s virtual try-on technology lets shoppers visualize how clothing fits different body types by simply uploading a photo. Powered by a custom image generation model, it realistically simulates how fabrics drape, stretch, and move — delivering a personalized try-on experience at scale across billions of apparel listings in our Shopping Graph.

This initiative is a result of pushing the boundaries of the conventional experience of e-shopping and making efforts to bridge the e-commerce experience with the real-time shopping experience. It will enable an entirely new experience for the users across the world.

Availability

These features will be available only for product listings in the US, while the last feature, “Try on,” will be available in Search Labs in the US from today.
