The company is now stepping up hiring and expanding its local presence as demand for AI tools and developer platforms rises sharply across the Indian market.

The announcement reflects a broader shift among global technology firms that increasingly view India as an important hub for AI development, deployment and talent. Google executives said the company is seeing strong traction from Indian developers, startups and enterprises using AI Studio to build generative AI applications and services.
