Google’s AI Mode Just Went Global — Here’s What That Means for You
Google’s AI-powered Search Mode is now live in 180 countries, offering personalised features and restaurant booking in English

Google has launched its AI-powered Search Mode in 180 countries and territories. This expansion follows the initial availability in the U.S., U.K., and India and currently supports only English, with plans to support more languages and regions soon. This upgrade brings powerful new agentic capabilities to users, starting with restaurant reservations. Users can now specify details like party size, date, time, cuisine preference, and location, and the system will surface suitable options.

Seamless Booking through Partner Platforms

Once preferences are shared, the AI Mode searches reservation platforms such as OpenTable, Resy, and Tock (with future plans to include Ticketmaster, StubHub, and others) to identify available slots and provides direct booking links.

Premium Access via AI Ultra Plan

Currently, these booking features are offered exclusively to AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S., available through a Labs experiment labelled “Agentic capabilities in AI Mode.” The AI Ultra plan costs around $249.99 per month.

Personalised Recommendations in Labs

Google is making AI Mode responses more personalised for users enrolled in the AI Mode experiment in Labs. Based on previous searches and preferences—such as a liking for Italian cuisine or outdoor seating—the AI tailors recommendations accordingly.

Collaboration Made Simple with Share Feature

AI Mode now includes a collaborative element: users can generate and share a link to their search conversation via a “Share” button. Recipients can pick up where the conversation left off. Users retain full control and can view or delete shared links anytime.
