The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced the launch of a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) skill development programme to train students in emerging technologies, offering 15,000 scholarships.

The programme is built to strengthen India’s digital workforce & have young talent ready for AI-driven landscapes.

Government Prepares to Build AI-Ready Workforce

The initiative focuses on equipping students with practical knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and data-driven technologies. It is part of a broader government effort to align education with industry needs and future job markets.

Under the initiative, chosen students will receive strategic training through recognised institutions and digital platforms.

The support is intended to make high-quality AI education accessible. This is particularly for students from various academic and economic backgrounds.
