TCIL and PNB Join Forces to Revolutionise Digital Banking in India
TCIL and PNB sign MoU to strengthen IT infrastructure and accelerate digital transformation in banking.

In a significant development, Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Communications, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India's leading public sector banks. The MoU, signed on 3rd September 2025, aims to bolster PNB's IT infrastructure and expedite its digital transformation journey, facilitating faster, more reliable, and customer-centric banking services.

Strategic Collaboration to Strengthen IT Infrastructure

The MoU was formalised at TCIL's headquarters in New Delhi, with the signing ceremony attended by key dignitaries. Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of TCIL, led the delegation, while PNB was represented by Mr Manish Agrawal, General Manager, along with senior executives from both organisations.

Under the agreement, TCIL will provide specialised expertise in IT consultancy, project management, and turnkey execution of complex technology initiatives. The collaboration aims to deliver robust, secure, and regulatory-compliant solutions that will reinforce PNB's digital infrastructure, enhance operational resilience, and foster innovation in customer services.

Key Areas of Collaboration

The partnership focuses on several critical areas:

  • RFP Lifecycle Management: Streamlining the process of Request for Proposal to ensure efficient procurement and implementation of IT solutions.
  • System Integration: Ensuring seamless integration of various IT systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • IT Infrastructure Rollout: Expanding and upgrading IT infrastructure to support the growing digital needs of the bank.
  • Regulatory-Compliant Technology Deployment: Implementing technology solutions that adhere to regulatory standards, ensuring compliance and security.

Depending on the requirements, TCIL will serve as either a Project Management Consultant (PMC) or a Project Implementing Agency (PIA), ensuring that the solutions align with PNB's technology roadmap and customer priorities.
