The twin cities of Jammu and Srinagar are driving urban development with projects worth ₹6,603.39 crore under the Smart Cities Mission. These initiatives aim to enhance infrastructure and provide modernized citizen services. Jammu Smart City has launched 127 projects with an estimated cost of ₹2,969.07 crore. Out of these, 117 projects, valued at ₹2,773.31 crore, have been completed. Meanwhile, 10 projects, costing ₹195.76 crore, are still underway. Srinagar Smart City has undertaken 164 projects with a total allocation of ₹3,634.32 crore. To date, 144 projects worth ₹3,311.79 crore have been finalised, leaving 20 projects, valued at ₹322.53 crore, in progress.
