Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has officially inaugurated a new AI-ready data centre built by Equinix India at Siruseri in the SIPCOT complex, amounting to an investment of ₹574 crore. The facility is part of the state government-backed promotion efforts to enhance the region’s status as a growing hub in India’s digital economy.
Investment and Government Support
The launch was welcomed and publicised by Guidance, the state’s investment promotion agency, which emphasised that this centre will fuel Tamil Nadu’s ascent as India’s digital nucleus. On this occasion, Manoj Paul, Managing Director of Equinix India, contributed ₹9 crore from the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund, underlining the firm’s dedication to the state’s welfare and development.

According to Equinix, the data centre has been engineered to deliver 99.99% uptime, ensuring very high reliability. It includes the full suite of Equinix interconnection services, such as Equinix Fabric, which enables clients to fully leverage hybrid multi-cloud setups for seamless operations.
