ReNew Power, a prominent player in India's renewable energy sector, has announced a monumental investment of ₹22,000 crore to establish the country's largest single-site hybrid renewable energy project in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. Project Specifications
The integrated facility is designed to generate a total capacity of 2.8 GW, comprising 1.8 GW of solar power and 1 GW of wind energy. The facility will also include an additional 2 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The initial phase involves an investment of ₹7,000 crore to develop 587 MW of solar power, 250 MW of wind power, and 415 MWh of battery storage. This phase is set to provide clean electricity for up to four hours daily, addressing peak demand and enhancing grid stability.

This investment marks ReNew's return to Andhra Pradesh after a hiatus due to previous policy uncertainties. The policy aims to attract significant investments and position Andhra Pradesh as a renewable energy hub.

Spanning 2,300 acres, the project is expected to generate employment for approximately 10,000 individuals, contributing to the local economy and providing opportunities for youth and farmers in the region.
