In a scene that looks straight out of a science fiction movie, Polish startup Volonaut has taken flight—literally. The company recently unveiled real-world testing footage of its jet-powered flying bike, the Volonaut Airbike, showing a solo rider lifting off the ground and hovering in mid-air, without any digital trickery involved.
We are proud to share more of the test flight footage of the Volonaut Airbike prototype in action.

No Tricks, Just Engineering
Volonaut proudly emphasised that the footage features “no special effects, no CGI, no AI”—just pure mechanical and aerospace ingenuity. The Airbike’s successful lift-off signals a significant leap forward in personal air mobility and futuristic transportation.
Sci-Fi Meets Reality
The company describes the Airbike as “a fully functional real-world speeder bike,” referencing the flying motorcycles popularised by science fiction films. While such concepts have long been relegated to Hollywood imagination, Volonaut has brought them to life with a functioning prototype that actually flies.
Built to Fly—And Impress
Crafted using carbon fibre and 3D printing technology, the Volonaut Airbike is not only capable of flight but also remarkably lightweight—lighter even than conventional motorcycles. This design choice optimises both aerodynamics and efficiency, making the Airbike agile and flight-ready.
