Focus on Local Talent and Early-Stage Startups
The initiative is designed to identify & support young entrepreneurs from Kadapa and nearby districts. The aim is to provide mentorship, training and access to networks that can help convert ideas into viable businesses.
Officials associated with the programme said the effort will prioritise sectors such as agriculture, technology and small-scale manufacturing, areas seen as important for regional development.
Startup Kadapa is also expected to collaborate with educational institutions to encourage grassroots innovation. Workshops, incubation support and awareness campaigns will be rolled out to engage students and first-time founders.

Bridging Regional Gaps in Andhra Pradesh’s Startup Ecosystem
Rayalaseema was once left behind coastal regions in terms of startup activity and investment inflow. The initiative addresses this imbalance by creating a structured support system for entrepreneurs in the region.
Industry experts note that improving access to funding and mentorship remains a major challenge. Startup Kadapa will act as a bridge, connecting founders with investors, government schemes and industry experts.
The programme aligns with the state’s broader push to decentralise economic growth and promote innovation beyond established urban hubs.
