Goa is now rewriting its story with technology at its core. In a bold move to position itself within the heart of India’s digital transformation, the state is launching two major initiatives: a Global Capability Centre (GCC) and an AI Excellence Hub. Together, these are set to transform Goa into a powerful tech hub that nurtures startups, drives innovation, and accelerates economic growth.
Creating the Foundation for a Digital-First Goa
The Global Capability Centre Goa is more than just a workspace—it’s a collaborative platform where businesses, academic institutions, and startups can come together to experiment, co-create, and deliver next-generation tech solutions. This initiative supports the state's vision of a digital-first economy, offering both the physical infrastructure and strategic support needed to foster a thriving startup ecosystem.

With strong backing from policymakers and private players, the GCC is poised to become the nerve centre for technology-led innovation. It will provide an environment where ideas can be tested, scaled, and brought to market—enabling Goa to attract top talent and investment from across the country.
AI Excellence Hub: Driving the Deep Tech Surge
At the core of Goa’s innovation push lies the AI Excellence Hub—a specialised centre for artificial intelligence R&D. This hub aims to fuel the growth of deep tech startups by offering access to high-performance computing, advanced AI labs, and the tools needed to build cutting-edge AI models, apps, and prototypes.
Targeting sectors like fintech, healthcare, agriculture, and tourism, the hub encourages the development of solutions that are both locally relevant and globally competitive. Beyond just infrastructure, the hub will also run training programs, workshops, and hackathons—helping Goa build a future-ready, AI-literate workforce.
