HCLTech, a multinational IT company based in India has entered a multi-year strategic partnership with Astemo Cypremos, a Japanese company which is subsidiary of Astemo Ltd. They're going to work together for several years to make self-driving and smart cars better. This collab aims to speed up development of software-defined vehicles (SDVs) by using HCLTech's generative-AI-based platforms and engineering expertise.
HCLTech will help Cypremos switch to focusing on software-centric automotive model, using it’s proprietary tools like TestSphere, which tests software reducing hardware dependency and offers a faster resolution. They'll also use AI ForceAI Force, a GenAI-powered service transformation platform aimed at enhancing software quality and performance along with Cloud Bridge which will give them different cloud options for testing in real-time and making sure everything is reliable.

“This partnership is built on a shared commitment to solving the growing complexity of software development in the automotive space,” said Takeshi Mitamura, President and CEO of Cypremos. “Together, we aim to empower the automotive industry to fully embrace SDVs and realize the full potential of cloud technologies.”
The partnership will help millions of users in more than 150 countries. The test programs they've done so far are already cutting down on validation times and boosting ROI significantly.

The company has already made some big moves by signing deals with Volvo Group and OpenAI, and growing its partnership with Salesforce. Not even a week ago, HCL Tech has also partnered with global semiconductor giant, AMD to develop innovation labs all over the world. These labs will focus on AI, cloud tech, and the future of getting around.
