Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India is now preparing to export electric vehicles to 100 countries worldwide. He described this move as another milestone in the country's success story. Modi also mentioned that a major programme connected to this initiative is scheduled for August 26.
Automobile Export Surge
Modi reflected on India’s journey in auto exports—highlighting that in 2014, annual exports stood at around ₹50,000 crore. Today, that figure has more than doubled to approximately ₹1.2 lakh crore.

India’s Economic Climb
He further emphasised that India is currently the fastest-growing major economy. He projected that India will become the world’s third-largest economy soon, contributing close to 20 percent of global growth.
