Xiaomi has unveiled its new AI Glasses at a launch event in China, designed to rival Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses. The newly launched wearable device combines augmented reality with powerful artificial intelligence capabilities. Running on Xiaomi’s proprietary Vela OS and powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1+ chipset, the glasses bring together a suite of futuristic features—from real-time translation to live object recognition and high-resolution first-person video capture.
Feature-Packed Wearable With Smart Assistance
The Xiaomi AI Glasses are equipped with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera backed by Sony’s IMX681 sensor, enabling users to capture detailed 2K videos at 30 fps and still images with a resolution of 4,032×3,024 pixels. Like other high-end smart glasses on the market, these offer a first-person perspective for both photography and videography, making them ideal for immersive content creation or real-time visual documentation.
Beyond visuals, the glasses come with five microphones enhanced by bone conduction technology, ensuring clear and precise audio capture. Users can activate voice-based commands for assistance, live text translation, and object identification—features that push the boundaries of how wearables integrate with daily life.

Function and Durability
Aesthetically, the glasses come in a D-shaped frame constructed from TR90 nylon and feature titanium hinges. Xiaomi claims these hinges have been rigorously tested across more than 18,000 usage cycles, underscoring the brand’s focus on long-term durability and comfort.
Available in Black, Brown, and Green, the AI Glasses also come in multiple editions. The base model is priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 23,900), while an electrochromic version—which adjusts tint based on lighting—is available in single-colour (CNY 2,699 or roughly Rs. 32,200) and multicolour (CNY 2,999 or about Rs. 35,800) variants.
Compatibility & Battery Life
Users can pair the AI Glasses with smartphones running Android 10 or iOS 15 and above. However, to access the device’s full range of features, including advanced AI interactions, it must be connected to a smartphone using Xiaomi’s HyperOS. As for longevity, the glasses promise over 8 hours of usage on a single charge—making them practical for all-day use, whether during commutes, work, or outdoor activities.
