Announced via an internal memo from CEO Satya Nadella, this move aims to unify Microsoft's productivity tools with its advancing AI initiatives. Roslansky will serve as Executive Vice President of Office, reporting to Rajesh Jha, Executive Vice President for Experiences and Devices, while maintaining his role as LinkedIn CEO, reporting directly to Nadella.

Roslansky's new responsibilities encompass oversight of Microsoft's core productivity applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. He will also manage the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, an AI-powered tool designed to enhance user productivity across these platforms. Expressing enthusiasm about his expanded role, Roslansky stated on LinkedIn, "Office has literally shaped how the world works. Its reach and impact are unparalleled. I'm entering a brand-new, exciting period in this capacity."
