As part of the programme, participants were introduced to widely used AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Indus. The sessions focused on practical, hands-on learning, enabling artisans to explore how these tools can support their day-to-day work.
The training went beyond basic familiarisation. Artisans were guided on applying AI in real-world scenarios, ranging from improving customer communication to streamlining small business operations and expanding access to digital marketplaces. The aim was to help them adapt to evolving market dynamics without losing the essence of their craft.
This initiative aligns with the government’s broader push to promote “AI for social good.” The approach has been reinforced through platforms such as the IndiaAI Impact Summit and reflected in the Delhi Declaration, both of which emphasise inclusive and responsible adoption of emerging technologies.
