Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has pitched Andhra Pradesh as an emerging manufacturing hub for global chipmakers.
He said that the state has stepped up efforts to position itself as a key destination for semiconductor investments.
The move comes amid India’s broader push to strengthen its electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.
Speaking to industry stakeholders and international investors, Naidu highlighted the state’s infrastructure pipeline, industrial policies and strategic location.
“Andhra Pradesh is well placed to support large-scale semiconductor and electronics manufacturing projects,” he noted.

Andhra Pradesh Eyes a Bigger Role in India’s Chip Mission
The repositioned outreach comes as India seeks to reduce dependence on imported semiconductors and build a domestic supply chain for important electronic components.
With governments across Asia competing for investments in chip production, Andhra Pradesh is seeking a larger share of upcoming projects.
