The National Highways Authority of India is set to revise the annual FASTag pass fee from April 1, 2026, marking a modest increase for regular highway users. The prepaid toll plan, introduced last year at ₹3,000, will now cost ₹3,075 after a ₹75 hike.
Revised FASTag Annual Pass Fee
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the revision aligns with the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008. The update comes amid growing adoption of the annual pass, which has already seen over 56 lakh subscribers.

The pass remains valid for up to one year or 200 toll crossings, whichever comes first and can be used at around 1,150 toll plazas across national highways and expressways. It continues to be available exclusively for non-commercial vehicles.
Why the Annual Pass Matters
Launched in August last year, the FASTag annual pass was designed to simplify toll payments for frequent travellers. Instead of repeated recharges, users can make a one-time payment and drive through toll plazas seamlessly.

The system is particularly useful for daily commuters—especially those travelling across NCR corridors—as well as individuals who regularly undertake intercity trips. With cashless tolling becoming the norm, the pass offers both convenience and predictability in travel costs.
