The approved funds will be used to establish U-Hub innovation centres operating on a hub-and-spoke model.

Main hubs in Lucknow and Gautam Buddh Nagar will work with satellite incubators across the state to support early-stage startups and entrepreneurs. The model is designed to connect local innovators with infrastructure, mentoring and potential investors.

Officials say the initiative will offer a structured framework from ideation to commercialisation.

The base objectives include promoting technology-driven enterprises, enabling industry-startup-institution linkages and creating a sustainable environment for business growth. An additional ₹30 crore has been proposed for capital expenditure in electronics and telecom infrastructure to support the Hubs.

Focus on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Collaboration

The U-Hub initiative is part of the state of Uttar Pradesh’s efforts to enhance its startup landscape. With several thousand active startups already spread across the state, the government has rolled out policies and funding to build a supportive ecosystem for founders and investors alike.

The strategy aligns with the state’s startup policy goals to position Uttar Pradesh as a leading hub for technology innovation and entrepreneurship. The emphasis on a connected incubator network is expected to expand opportunities for early-stage ventures outside traditional tech clusters.
