Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming how digital content is created in a world with frequent algorithm updates. However, content creators believe influencers should focus on human interpretation to foster deeper connections.

At the Convergence India Expo 2026, a panel titled “The Future of Influence: Creators in the Age of AI & Algorithms” explored how creators are adapting to platform algorithms, faster production cycles, and changing audience preferences.

AI Tools Reshape Content Creation Workflows

Moderated by social media influencer Aayush Ailawadi, the discussion featured creators Anuj Chauhan (Teddy Gaming), Karan Lohia, Arvind Kharra (Tech Master), and Yash Sethi (mrgeekguy).

Participants agreed that AI streamlines content creation. Arvind Kharra described it as a support tool that enhances research and planning. Karan Lohia stated that AI has reduced production time and increased output, calling it a factor that has “democratised” content creation.

Nevertheless, limitations persist. Lohia also mentioned that formats such as product reviews still rely on personal credibility and cannot be fully automated by AI.

Audience Demand Maintains Focus on Authenticity

Despite widespread use of AI, audience behaviour continues to favour authenticity over AI-generated content.

Panelist Anuj Chauhan, who is also a well-known social media content creator, noted that gaming audiences prefer unfiltered content over polished outputs.

“Gaming is raw and real, hence viewers want to see the full journey,” said Chauhan.

Yash Sethi added that creators are followed for their unique style and energy. AI cannot imitate or replace this originality, which remains important for audience engagement, even as algorithms influence reach and visibility.

The discussion reflected a broader shift within the content creator economy, where AI is increasingly integrated into workflows but has not replaced the importance of individual voice and identity.

The 33rd Convergence India Expo, held from 23–25 March 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, gathered global stakeholders from telecom, artificial intelligence, fintech, and emerging technologies sectors.

Positioned as a platform for technological innovation and policy dialogue, the event highlighted India’s growing role in the global digital economy. The 34th edition is scheduled for 23–25 March 2027 and is expected to feature greater global participation and industry insights.
