Led by co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola is aiming to penetrate smaller towns in India while strengthening its after-sales service capabilities. The company emphasised its commitment to making electric vehicle ownership accessible to every household through its direct-to-consumer D2C business model, as stated in an exchange filing last week. This large-scale expansion comes in response to a surge in customer dissatisfaction, particularly concerning service and performance. Local media reports revealed that Ola’s service centres had been struggling to manage a monthly influx of approximately 80,000 complaints, highlighting the urgent need for improved infrastructure and customer support.
