India to Host AI Impact Summit in February 2026
India will host the AI Impact Summit with spotlight on AI adoption across sectors and shape India’s role in global technology discourse.

India will host the prestigious AI Impact Summit in February 2026, announced the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan. The summit, backed by the central government and welfare policies, will bring together global leaders, policymakers and technology experts to discuss artificial intelligence (AI) and its use cases.

During a visit to IIT Madras, the Union Minister said, “The event is part of a growing slate of AI engagements. It will place India at the centre of international AI discourse in 2026”.

Summit Focus and Broader Context

The AI Impact Summit will take place in New Delhi and will run from February 19-20, 2026. It is a global gathering following previous summits in Paris and Seoul that focuses on advancing AI beyond regulatory and safety issues toward measurable impact.

While addressing reporters, Pradhan said countries worldwide are rapidly adopting AI across sectors such as education, healthcare and manufacturing. The summit aims to highlight how India plans to integrate AI into its socio-economic frameworks. The government has already signalled broader AI efforts, including the establishment of expert labs, partnerships with industry participants, and regional dialogue events in the run-up to the main summit.
