51% Green Power Requirement for Data Center Operations

Renewable energy will be central to the proposed facility. ReNew said the integrated green data center park would need to use 51% green power to run its operations.

The project also expects a dedicated power infrastructure. This includes two incoming power feeders from independent sources to the data center park’s substation. The arrangement will also provide access to electricity from different sources.

The initiative aligns with Maharashtra’s ambition to become a $1 trillion economy by 2030 and its focus on data centers, semiconductors and clean energy, ReNew said.
