Dubai Unveils AI-Powered Smart Bus Station at Mall of the Emirates
Dubai launches its first AI-powered smart bus station at Mall of the Emirates with 24/7 digital services, smart mobility features and climate-controlled infrastructure.

Dubai has launched its first artificial intelligence-powered “smart bus station” at the Mall of the Emirates. This marks another step in the emirate’s push towards smart urban mobility and digital public infrastructure.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) introduced the new station with round-the-clock digital services, climate-controlled facilities and AI-enabled passenger support. The aim is to improve the commuter experience and reduce waiting times during extreme weather conditions.

AI-Driven Public Transport Services Expand in Dubai

The smart station has been equipped with AI-based systems that provide real-time transport information, route assistance and multilingual passenger support.

“Commuters can now access digital services 24/7 through interactive platforms integrated into the station. The facility includes air-conditioned seating areas, smart surveillance systems and eco-friendly infrastructure.”

Dubai authorities said the project aligns with the city’s broader strategy to strengthen public transport usage while integrating artificial intelligence into civic services.

Officials added that the station is expected to improve accessibility for residents, tourists and daily commuters using bus routes connecting major commercial and residential districts across the city.

Dubai Backs Smart City and Mobility Vision

Dubai continues to expand its smart city initiatives across transport, governance, and public services. The Emirates is focused on digital transformation projects in artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and sustainability.

“Similar smart stations are being planned and will be introduced in other parts of the city, depending on commuter response and operational performance. The move further supports Dubai’s futuristic plans to increase public transport adoption and reduce dependence on private vehicles,” said transport authorities.

The UAE has emerged as one of the leading regional hubs for AI-led infrastructure development, with several government agencies investing in smart mobility systems, autonomous technologies and connected urban services.
