India’s voice artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem is undergoing a steady shift in course. Startups are building solutions tailored for the country’s diverse linguistic landscape.

Startups are more focused on voice-enabled platforms that support multiple Indian languages. The aim is to improve digital access and customer engagement across sectors such as banking, healthcare and e-commerce.

The growth is driven by rising internet penetration, wider smartphone adoption and the need for businesses to reach users who don’t speak English. Industry experts suggest that voice AI is emerging as a major interface in a market where text-based systems often fall short.

Regional Language Focus Drives Adoption
