YouTube has introduced a new set of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered comment management features in YouTube Studio, giving creators a faster way to search, organise and moderate conversations across their channels.
The update goes beyond traditional keyword-based searches, allowing creators to find comments by meaning or topic. The new tools are available globally on the desktop version of YouTube Studio and are designed to make it easier to handle large volumes of audience feedback without automating moderation decisions.

AI Search Goes Beyond Exact Keywords
The biggest change is the addition of a new Search filter on the Comments page. Instead of relying only on exact words, creators can now type natural language queries of up to 100 characters to surface comments around a particular subject.
For instance, a creator can search for phrases like “comments about my appearance”, “questions about my camera”, or “people demanding Part 2”. The system groups comments with similar contexts, even when different words are used.
The previous keyword search remains available but has now been renamed as Keywords.

Suggested Topics & Similar Comment Detection
Alongside semantic search, YouTube is introducing AI-generated suggested topics that automatically group comments into common themes.
These include categories such as excitement, enthusiasm, and negative feedback, helping creators review audience reactions more efficiently.
Another feature is “Find Similar Comments”. By selecting the three-dot menu on any published comment, creators can quickly find other comments expressing the same idea or sentiment, speeding up bulk moderation and engagement.

The Control Remains with the Creators
YouTube has stated that the new AI features do not automatically remove, hide or report comments. Instead, they act as discovery tools, leaving every moderation decision with the creator.
The rollout comes as part of YouTube’s broader efforts to improve creator management tools.
Earlier updates introduced bulk comment actions and AI-powered creator features. The latest set focuses on simplifying comment review for channels managing thousands of interactions every day. The features are currently available to all creators worldwide using YouTube Studio on desktop.
