The Maharashtra government is set to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI), geo-tagging and Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping to improve how urban development projects are tracked and managed.
The move aims to give officials real-time visibility into project progress, strengthen transparency and help ensure that public infrastructure is completed on schedule.
The initiative forms part of the state’s wider push towards technology-led governance and smarter urban planning. Officials believe digital monitoring will help improve decision-making, reduce delays & improve accountability across departments.

AI and GIS to Strengthen Project Monitoring
