Trump Media Commits ₹1 Lakh Cr to Bharat Future City; Major Energy, AI and Infra Deals Announced
A ₹1 lakh crore commitment from Trump Media puts Bharat Future City at the centre of Telangana’s next wave of growth.

Trump Media has laid out an ambitious plan for Bharat Future City- the new urban development taking shape on Hyderabad’s outskirts, by investing up to ₹1 lakh crore over the next decade across real estate, infrastructure and technology projects within the upcoming city.

Eric Swider, Director of Trump Media and Technology Group, announced at the inaugural session of the Telangana Rising Global Summit. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary in the Telangana government, confirmed the investment commitment and said the state expects Trump Media’s involvement to help shape the early blueprint of the city.

Energy companies signed a series of large agreements alongside the announcement. Deals worth about ₹1.50 lakh crore were finalised in the energy and ethanol manufacturing sectors. Axis Energy Ventures India committed ₹31,500 crore, Ecoren ₹16,000 crore, and Greenko Energies ₹24,000 crore.

Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZs, said the group will establish a 40 MW AI-focused green data centre in Hyderabad. The ₹2,500-crore facility is expected to support high-performance computing, cloud deployments and the rising demand created by AI workloads.

The state is placing a strong emphasis on workforce development. TASK (Telangana Academy of Skills and Knowledge) signed 20 MoUs, including one with AI startup Aadya, to train two lakh young people in areas such as agentic AI, semiconductor skills and other job-ready technologies.

Over the next two decades, the government aims to position Telangana as a $3-trillion economy. A detailed roadmap, titled Telangana Rising 2047, is being released at the summit. The document was developed with support from NITI Aayog and the Indian School of Business and outlines how the government plans to channel upcoming investments, especially in AI, quantum technologies and semiconductors, into Bharat Future City.
