JBM Ecolife Mobility, a subsidiary of JBM Auto, has been awarded a significant contract to manage 343 electric buses for Ahmedabad’s Bus Rapid Transit System BRTS under the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service. The project will involve the procurement, operation, and maintenance of these electric buses. The contract, valued at ₹1800 crore, is based on the Gross Cost Contracting GCC model. Alongside public transport services, the project also includes operations for other corporate entities. JBM Ecolife is tasked with executing this transformative order within a year. This initiative marks a major step toward sustainable urban mobility in Ahmedabad, enhancing the city’s transit system with eco-friendly electric buses.
