SnapE Cabs, an electric mobility startup based in Kolkata, has successfully secured $2.5 million in a bridge funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). This strategic investment aims to bolster the company’s expansion plans, particularly focusing on scaling operations in Delhi-NCR, leasing additional electric vehicles (EVs), and enhancing its product development efforts.

Impressive Growth & Operational Efficiency

Since its inception in 2022, SnapE Cabs has experienced remarkable growth. The company now operates a fleet of over 1,100 EVs, a significant increase from approximately 500 in late 2024. With more than 3.2 million rides completed, SnapE has achieved a gross revenue of ₹120 crore and turned EBITDA positive in January 2025. The platform boasts 1.3 million app downloads and 1.2 million paying users, reflecting its growing customer base and operational success.

Strategic Expansion into Delhi-NCR

As part of its expansion strategy, SnapE Cabs entered the Delhi-NCR market through a partnership with Rapido, deploying 200 EVs over the past three months. This initiative has proven profitable from day one, demonstrating the viability of SnapE’s business model in new markets. Looking ahead, the company plans to add another 1,000 EVs in the next 12 months to meet the growing demand for sustainable transportation options.

Commitment to Sustainable & Profitable Growth

SnapE Cabs’ approach emphasises a supply-led infrastructure model, focusing on building a robust EV fleet and charging network to ensure consistent service delivery. This strategy has resulted in operating costs that are 60–70% lower than traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) cabs, with a customer acquisition cost of just 0.8% of revenue. Additionally, the company enjoys a high rider retention rate of 90%, underscoring the effectiveness of its business model.

Investor Confidence in SnapE’s Vision

Mitesh Shah, co-founder of Inflection Point Ventures, expressed confidence in SnapE Cabs’ potential, stating, “The demand for clean and sustainable mobility is rising across the globe. By offering a fully electric fleet, supported by infrastructure and sustainable unit economics, SnapE is proving that EV cab services can thrive without burning cash.”
