After its much-anticipated entry into Mumbai last month, Elon Musk’s Tesla India Motor & Energy Pvt Ltd has now secured a prime commercial space in Gurugram, marking its second major move in the country. The EV giant has leased nearly 51,000 sq ft of super built-up space at Orchid Business Park on Sohna Road for a tenure of nine years. According to documents accessed, the lease commenced on July 15, 2025, and was officially registered on July 28.

Lease Terms and Financial Details
The lease begins with a starting monthly rent of ₹40.17 lakh, calculated at ₹120 per sq ft. As per the lease deed, this amount will escalate annually by 4.75%. Over the nine-year term, Tesla will gradually increase its rent from ₹42.07 lakh in the second year to ₹58.22 lakh by the ninth year. The company has also paid a security deposit of ₹2.41 crore for the long-term commitment. In addition to the built-up space, the lease includes access to 51 parking slots, likely to be used for customer and service vehicles. Tesla’s latest Gurugram deal is a clear sign of the company’s growing commitment to the Indian market.
