A Bihar-based startup, Sarva Suvidhaen, is using artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT) and computer vision to improve railway operations, digitise field reporting and identify potential equipment defects.
Founded by Atul Anand and Srishti, the company has developed three technology platforms for Indian Railways and reported a turnover of approximately Rs 1.16 crore in the financial year 2025–26.
The startup’s work addresses operational gaps in a railway network where delayed field reports, scattered information and limited real-time monitoring can affect decision-making. Its business focuses on developing technology for large infrastructure organisations through business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) partnerships.

How Sarva Suvidhaen Is Using AI to Improve Railway Operations
The idea took shape during the COVID-19 lockdown, when both founders were working from Patna. They identified opportunities to improve data collection, automation and monitoring across railway operations.
An NIT Trichy computer science graduate, Anand previously worked at Oracle, BEL, CLS, KPI Partners, IQuanti and SpotOn. Srishti brings business and operations experience, having worked with organisations including Randstad and Cognizant.
The company has developed three solutions:
- WagonEye: An AI and computer vision platform that identifies potential defects in the body and undergear of freight and passenger train wagons.
- RailOps: A digital operations platform that allows railway teams to record and monitor field activities.
- SwachhDNR: A web and mobile platform used to track and assess employee performance. It has been deployed in the Danapur division, including Patna Junction, as well as the Sealdah and Jhansi divisions.
The platforms aim to convert field-level information into digital records that railway officials can use for operational decisions.

Startup Bihar, IIT Patna and Google Cloud Support
Sarva Suvidhaen was initially bootstrapped, with the founders using personal savings and project earnings. It subsequently received Rs 10 lakh from Startup Bihar, incubation support from IIT Patna and STPI, and Rs 1 crore in Google Cloud credits.
The company says it has received Rs 32 lakh in total government assistance and raised Rs 60 lakh in external equity funding from two investors.
Sarva Suvidhaen recorded approximately Rs 48 lakh in turnover and Rs 9 lakh in profit in FY25. In FY26, turnover rose to Rs 1.16 crore, while profit reached approximately Rs 20 lakh.
Its revenue comes from development and integration fees, subscriptions and maintenance contracts.
The company plans to expand across all Indian Railways zones and explore opportunities in logistics, healthcare and smart cities. It is also preparing to invest further in edge AI, computer vision and predictive maintenance.
The most important indicator to track will be whether Sarva Suvidhaen can move beyond its existing deployments and secure wider adoption across Indian Railways zones.
