Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta Platforms has appointed Vishal Shah to a key Artificial Intelligence-linked role, where he will lead product management for AI products. The major move underscores Meta’s growing focus on AI innovation and resource allocation, signalling the company’s intent to take on top rivals in the AI race.

From VP to Key AI role
Prior to this appointment, Shah was in charge of product management for Instagram at Meta for six years. Then, in 2021, he was promoted to Vice President of Metaverse—the company’s concept for a three-dimensional virtual world.
A Meta spokesperson confirmed Shah’s new role, as it marked another reshuffle for Meta’s management.
