Speaking at a meeting in New Delhi, Modi said securing critical mineral supply chains and developing a strong semiconductor industry are now national priorities. He said these sectors are important for India’s future growth and competitiveness. Modi added that the government will continue to speed up policy decisions that strengthen the country’s economy and strategic capabilities.
“Today, I will reassure the nation again that this series of major decisions in the national interest will accelerate even further. We will move forward at a rapid pace,” he said.

Highlighting India’s Growth
Modi said India has made major progress in infrastructure, digital connectivity, defence exports, renewable energy and manufacturing over the past decade. He noted that the country has expanded its airports, expressways, metro networks and internet access since 2014. He also said India has become one of the fastest-growing major economies in the world.
