Mahindra & Mahindra has announced plans to set up 250 ultra-fast electric-vehicle charging stations under its Charge_IN network by the end of 2027. The company aims to install more than 1,000 charging points, each powered by 180 kW chargers to support high-speed EV charging.

First Stations Already Operational

The first two Charge_IN stations are now live — one in Hoskote on the Bengaluru–Chennai highway and another in Murthal on NH-44 near Delhi. Each site is equipped with two 180 kW units, allowing up to four EVs to charge at the same time.

Faster Charging on Key Travel Corridors

Every Charge_IN station will feature dual-gun fast chargers, enabling compatible EVs — including Mahindra’s upcoming e-SUVs such as the XEV 9e, BE 6 and XEV 9S — to charge from 20% to 80% in roughly 20 minutes.

These hubs are being placed along major national highway corridors and will be paired with amenities such as cafés and restaurants, offering drivers a convenient break during long-distance travel.

Access for All EV Users

The Charge_IN network will prioritise Mahindra EV owners through the company’s Me4U app, which already lists thousands of public charging points across India. At the same time, the network will remain accessible to EV users from other brands through the “Charge_IN by Mahindra” app and various charging-aggregator platforms.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra’s Automotive Division, said the initiative aims to make long-distance EV travel as seamless and dependable as conventional driving. The broader goal is to boost confidence among EV users and support wider adoption of electric mobility in the country.
